Since launching just over two weeks ago, BHUSD Watch has already begun to attract a sizeable audience. As we prepare to roll out additional content, we wanted to take a moment to answer a few frequenly asked questions about the website and what readers can expect from it going forward.

In the space of just three days, the BHUSD School Board’s conservative majority plunged the district into an unprecedented antisemitism crisis through sloppy political messaging, then made things worse by using the crisis as a pretext to curtail the district’s years-long support of Pride Month. The firestorm ignited by the Board has irreparably harmed Beverly Hills’ public image and compromised the safety of both Jewish and LGBTQ students.

Beverly Hills’ school board has a MAGA problem. As of 2025, a majority of its members are using their ostensibly apolitical positions to advance ill-conceived rightwing ideological efforts at the expense of the overall wellbeing of the community they were elected to serve. BHUSD Watch has been founded to expose these subversive efforts harming our student body and shine a light on the scandal-ridden track records of the parties responsible.
